Have you ever seen a volunteer on TV or in the papers and been inspired by their story? Volunteering England works to promote volunteering in the media, through local and national press and on TV and radio. We also illustrate news stories and research with case studies of volunteers whose lives have been changed through volunteering.
Most of our stories are about the positive benefits of volunteering (both to the community and the individual volunteer), but they can also be negative as it can be relevant to highlight when good practice isn’t being observed.
If you’d be willing to share your experiences with a journalist, we’d love to hear from you. We may use your story for a press release or the reporter may want to speak to you about your story in more depth. We will always check with you before sending anything out to the media or before passing your contact details to a journalist.
If you have any queries about the process, or would like to discuss if your story is suitable for a case study, please contact Cat Dean in the press office on 020 7520 8932, email cat.dean@volunteeringengland.org.
Please complete and then submit the short form below with your details and a brief summary of your volunteering experience:
Please note that we are only seeking stories of volunteering that takes place in England.
