Volunteering England and Student Volunteering England formally merge

Volunteering England and Student Volunteering England are delighted to announce that the formal merger of the two organisations took place on 1 July.

Behind the merger was a desire to see Student Volunteering England more closely aligned with volunteering infrastructure. As a result, Student Volunteering England will benefit from Volunteering England’s policy, membership services, campaigns and public affairs functions, while VE will enjoy access to a wider range of networks, the dynamism of student volunteering and the addition of an energetic and entrepreneurial staff team.

Members of both VE and SVE will be able to take advantage of the merged organisations’ stronger lobbying voice, outreach services and more inclusive identity.

It is anticipated that SVE staff and interns will move into Volunteering England’s premises at Regent’s Wharf this summer.
