Volunteer Centres Campaign Launch

The national marketing campaign to promote Volunteer Centres launched on 18 September with a bang. Two stunts took place to kick off the campaign, one in London and one in Leicester, with volunteers dressed in blue and yellow offering to help commuters with everyday tasks, to convey the message that Volunteer Centres help make it easy to volunteer

There is also a campaign website at www.volunteercentres.org. The website will alternate between the ‘80%’ and ‘yoga’ messages each time you refresh. It also includes a viral game – why not try it? In addition, there are radio adverts on Virgin Radio and other local stations throughout the campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to promote the Volunteer Centre brand and to increase public awareness of Volunteer Centres as the places to go if you want to volunteer. It will also include:

  • A print, outdoor and radio advertising campaign split nationally and locally, plus specific targeting of BME and rural media.
  • A phone and web response service to direct respondents to find their nearest VC.
  • Media partnerships with national tabloid titles with regional outlets..
  • Online media and PR campaigns.
  • Viral marketing and games.
