Volunteering England appoints new Grants Manager
7 September 2007

Volunteering England, the national development agency for volunteers, has appointed Dennis Treleaven as Grants Manager, who will start on 17 September.
Previously Dennis was a Programme Manager with the Lottery where he was responsible for managing a team of grants staff assessing and managing multiple grants programmes across England. Dennis also has a background of training with the Lottery where he trained both staff in delivering new grants programmes as well as delivered a range of training to the voluntary sector on applying for grants and the development of an ‘outcomes’ based approach to funding.
Prior to this, Dennis worked for nearly ten years with a number of voluntary and community organisations in both England and Scotland working with homeless people, young people leaving care and ex-offenders. In addition, Dennis spent seven years working in a regulatory role with Social Housing landlords in Scotland.
Commenting on his appointment, Dennis said:
“I believe this is an exciting time for Volunteering England and I am very much looking forward to joining the team and supporting the development of good quality volunteering projects throughout England. I hope that with my experience of the voluntary sector combined with knowledge of the latest thinking on development and delivery of grant making programmes, I will be able to make a positive contribution to the delivery of quality grant making in England.”
End.
