Volunteering England welcomes the National Citizen Service as an exciting way to encourage young people to become positively involved in community activities

Response to the joint announcement today (27 July) of LOCOG’s programme to attract nearly 70,000 volunteers to help run the Games, and the Mayor of London’s call for 8,000 volunteer London Ambassadors

Volunteering England, the volunteering development charity, is joining with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) ‘Don’t stop the music’ campaign.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (“LOCOG”) and the Life-Time UK Alliance (the “Alliance”) have today set out how they intend to work together to deliver a fantastic London 2012 volunteering programme and to help the Government build a strong legacy for the future of volunteering.
