Summer 2998 issue of Volunteering magazine

Summer 08 issue of Volunteering magazine out now

In the Summer issue of Volunteering magazine we will be reflecting on the last 60 years of the NHS and talking to the Volunteer Management Team at Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust.

Health Minister Aneurin Bevan chose Trafford General Hospital (or Park Hospital as it was known as in 1948) as the flagship to mark the launch of the NHS. It was one of more than 2,500 hospitals that signed over to state ownership.

We also have an exclusive interview with Health Minister Ivan Lewis and Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary Norman Lamb to coincide with the anniversary, who I am sure you will agree have some interesting things to say about volunteering in health and social care.
