Prior to becoming self employed in 2004, Janet spent 18 years working in the voluntary sector – initially as a practitioner, recruiting and managing volunteer mentors, and latterly as National Director of Operations for a large sized national charity which involves volunteers in community justice. Now Janet focuses on providing training within the not-for-profit sector, and is an England Lead Assessor for Investing in Volunteers.
Janet worked as part of the team commissioned by Volunteering England to produce the National Training Strategy for Volunteer Managers, in particular the development and delivery of the Training for Training Providers Programme. Janet was also involved in developing the modules that make up the 60 hour ILM Endorsed Excellence in Volunteer Management Award.
As an EVM licensed Training Provider, Janet focuses on delivering in-house customised programmes from a few hours of ‘bite sized’ learning through to the full 60 hour ILM Endorsed EVM Award. Janet is able to provide a bespoke service tailored to your specific circumstances, whether you have just one volunteer manager or one hundred! This can include face to face classroom based sessions; distance & e-learning; one to one coaching – whatever will work best for you.
Indicative costs
Face to face ‘classroom based’ training:
- For the full 60 hour EVM ILM Endorsed Award - in the resgion of £610 per person plus VAT
- For 'bite-sized' EVM learning events - in the region of £55 per person per day plus VAT.
JLJ Associates provides in-house training tailored to suit the specific needs, circumstances and specialisms of individual organisations – the above indications are based on group sizes of 12, with the purchasing organisation providing training venue.
One to one coaching
- One to one coaching in centred on the EVM programme is charged at £50 per hour plus VAT
