Information For Trustees

Are you a trustee of an organisation that involves volunteers? Do you employ or involve volunteer managers in your organisation?

If so, you will be interested in the NEW Excellence in Volunteer Management Programme (EVM).

What is the EVM Programme?

In response to the training issues that were highlighted in the National Training Needs Analysis that we conducted, VE have develpoed an innovative new programme.

This programme offers managers of volunteers bite-sized learning opportunities, which will be delivered by a network of quality trainers and through online resources.

The new EVM programme will encompass training modules, a nationally recognised award endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ilm), Learning Loops, the Management Development Programme for Volunteer Centre Managers and a variety of learning tools, including eLearning, a good practice bank, information sheets, publications and the Investing in Volunteers toolkit (IiV). Also a new and exciting module on Employer Supported Volunteering is currently being developed.

The programme is designed and delivered by experts and managers of volunteers can do as little or as much as they want and even achieve professional qualifications on the way.

How can the EVM programme benefit your organisation?

Everyone knows that motivated and empowered people are the foundations of a successful organisation. The EVM programme enables managers of volunteers to improve their skills and confidence at an affordable cost.

Delivered through a network of experts, EVM will build capacity throughout the sector. It has the potential to make an enormous impact, reaching thousands of managers of volunteers, leading to millions of volunteers contributing more and getting the most from their involvement.

By adopting and promoting the EVM programme, your organisation will be able to develop excellence in its managers of volunteers and, ultimately, its volunteers. This can only help organisations to advance and achieve their objectives.

How?

  • Managers of volunteers will feel empowered and motivated to manage and promote volunteering.
  • You will be developing an exceptionally powerful asset for your organisation.
  • Advancing your managers of volunteers will increase the efficiency and effectiveness of your local-level development.
