Please note: please bear in mind that these role descriptions have been created for a specific organisation in a specific context, and should therefore be used as a guide rather than adopted wholesale. For further information, please visit our 'top tips on using the Good Practice Bank'.
We like these role descriptions because they:
- contain a useful amount of detail and give a good picture of what potential volunteer would be doing.
- clearly state what training is available, both during the induction and on an on-going basis.
Also, note how the PDSA has explained how many hours they would like people to volunteer for. They haven't asked for a minimum commitment from their volunteers. Instead, they highlight that the roles are flexible, or "by agreement", and clearly explain how much time they hope a volunteer will be able to give.
