Example 'Health Check' for Volunteer Involving Organisations

We think that this 'Health Check' document, from Dudley CVS Volunteer Centre, would be a really useful resource for any organisation that is thinking of involving volunteers, or that might be thinking of reviewing their volunteer-involving procedures.

The organisational standards included within it are purely for guidance and don't seek to be prescriptive, recognising that all volunteer-involving organisations are unique. However, it is a useful reminder of some elements of good practice that can be overlooked as organisations go about their everyday business. It could easily form the basis of a periodic review of the way an organisation works with its volunteers. The document has been cross-referenced with the 'Investing in Volunteers' Standard indicators, and would be a useful aide-mémoire for anyone working towards IiV.
