Information Sheet Summary Volunteering England’s Information Service is often asked for general statistics relating to volunteering. The sources of data that we refer to depend on the exact nature of the query, and some questions are not answered as easily as one might expect. The aim of this Information Sheet is to highlight the main surveys on volunteering that have been conducted over the last ten years, so that common themes in research can be easily identified. • Citizenship Surveys • National Surveys of Volunteering • Employer-supported volunteering (ESV) • Fundraising and charitable giving • Social exclusion • Volunteers in sport • Volunteering across the United Kingdom • Volunteering in Europe • The voluntary sector in England |
This Information Sheet contains a large number of statistics in tables. We've decided not to provide it in a webpage format because it might be difficult to read.
