E-volve is an employee volunteering project that is run by East London Business Alliance (ELBA) in partnership with Volunteer Action Tower Hamlets (now Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets).
This short publication provides a good introduction to the subject of employer-supported volunteering. It explains what ESV is, and describes how employees can get involved, using examples to demonstrate the many options available.
The document also includes more general information for new volunteers, including sections on what to expect from the voluntary organisation, recruitment and interview processes, training and support. There is also a section that explains the differences between the private and voluntary sectors, and how working together can be mutually beneficial.
