SWOT Analysis - MindTools
A SWOT analysis is a useful tool for helping people to develop their skills by self-assessing their Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Although it usually applies to paid employees, it could also be used for trustees, and perhaps even adapted for volunteers, to help identify their skills and training needs.
A SWOT analysis of an organisation's personnel could then help to inform a risk management policy or strategy regarding its human resources, so could be a useful tool for volunteer recruitment and retention.
