Sport England's report provides a picture of volunteering in England in 2002 and highlights some of the challenges for the country's 5,821,400 volunteers.
The report looked in particular at time pressures and recruitment and retention issues in sport volunteering. It also highlights challenges regarding the funding and professionalisation of sport volunteering.
