Event overview
If your organisation has, or is developing, an Employer Supported Volunteering programme, this event will offer you an opportunity to reflect on how you can respond to emerging changes and challenges.
Chaired by Lisa Suchet, Chief Executive of the Nationwide Foundation, the day will begin with an examination of perspectives from each sector, led by experts such as:
- Caroline Reade, Employee Volunteering Officer, Kent County Council
- John Ellis, Deputy Director for Volunteering, Barnardo's
- Sarah King, Chief Executive, Reach
- Andrew Slater, Chair of Trustees for the Golden Jubilee Trust, John Lewis Partnership.
With such a wide range of experience, there is an excellent opportunity for learning and sharing, which will be cemented by a question and answer session.
The morning’s discussion will be followed by two workshop sessions in the afternoon, where delegates can choose from three focused topics:
a) Skills-based Employer Supported Volunteering: connecting communities, sharing skills
b) Employer Supported Volunteering: working across private, public and voluntary sectors
c) Linking national programmes locally.
The day will be concluded with a look at the issues going forward, and an opportunity for networking with other delegates.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided at this event and delegates will also have access to our exhibition area, showcasing key organisations with experience of Employer Supported Volunteering.

This event also offers an opportunity to showcase your organisation’s work to all those attending. - Exhibition space – a 6ft trestle table, a tablecloth, two chairs, space for a pop up banner and access to free wifi. Plus, as an exhibitor you will have the opportunity to place a free insert (up to A4 size) in our delegate pack and be given a presence on our website, which receives around 70,000 visits a month.
