About the event
The National Student Volunteering Conference is the only event of its kind and is an excellent opportunity to join student volunteers and volunteer coordinators and staff who co-ordinate student volunteering from around 60 different universities and colleges across the country, as well as representatives from voluntary and community sector organisations.
The conference is organised in collaboration with WiSCV and Volunteering England. We’ve scheduled specialist trainers from across the sector and a team of in-house volunteering experts from Volunteering England to deliver a range of innovative, specialist training in student volunteering.
This year’s conference features;
A choice of over 40 training and development sessions, focused on development of skills for student volunteers and staff co-ordinating volunteering.
Showcase of student led projects
Facilitated networking: exchange ideas with workers and student volunteers from over 60 universities and colleges
An exhibition of not-for-profit and corporate organisations
WiSCV AGM
Student Volunteer Network activity
Gala dinner and evening entertainment…that you won’t forget!

Delegates from Conference 2008
Who can attend?
The conference is open to all student volunteering and student services departments and community action groups no matter what the size of the group, or the length of time you have been established. Delegates may be members of staff, volunteers, committee members or sabbatical officers with a remit for developing student volunteering.
The conference is open to both new and experienced staff, but we would encourage groups to send staff who have not previously attended. In the case of student volunteers, we strongly recommend that you send those who have not previously had the opportunity to attend. As a guide, groups tend to book around eight student places.
