The Volunteering Impact Assessment Toolkit was designed by the Institute for Volunteering Research to help volunteer-involving organisations to assess the impacts of volunteering programmes.
We are holding a one-day training workshop in London that will equip you with the skills and confidence to use the toolkit to conduct a thorough assessment of the impacts on volunteers, on your organisation, on your service users / clients and on the wider community.
The workshop will cover the following topics:
- What is impact and why do you want to measure it?
- Who is affected by volunteering and in what ways?
- How to undertake the assessment;
- How to analyse, interpret and present your results.
The day will involve practical activities designed to allow you to test out aspects of the toolkit such as learning how to use the ‘traffic light system’. It will allow you to start planning how you could use the toolkit to conduct an impact assessment within your own organisation.
