What is CCI?

Corporate Community Investment (CCI) is often the most visible side of corporate social responsibility. It can take the form of:

  • cash donations/corporate giving
  • cause related marketing
  • sponsorship
  • lobbying/campaigning
  • employer supported volunteering

These activities are increasingly being strategically aligned to core business objectives so that they bring value not only to the recipient, but can also provide tangible benefits for the company. Adopting corporate community investment programmes is not limited to large corporations. A growing number of smaller companies and public sector bodies are also realising the benefits of Corporate Community Investment.
