Research on employer supported volunteering and related issues has increased in quantity and quality over the last few years. From surveys looking at the extent of employer supported volunteering, such as the Home Office Active Citizenship Survey (2001, 2003 & 2005), to evaluations and assessments undertaken by individual companies, various techniques are being used to report on how much and what forms of employee volunteering are taking place
These research pages have been compiled with advice from The Institute for Volunteering Research. The Institute is a specialist research agency on volunteering and civic participation. It has developed its own research tools on employer supported volunteering and has evaluated major employer supported volunteering projects such as for Barclays.
