Featured development activity - Learning Loops
The Learning Loops project aims to build the learning capacity of volunteer managers across England by setting up a cross sector network of locally based learning groups. These groups will be called Learning Loops because of the emphasis on continuous learning.
Learning Advisors will facilitate these local Learning Loops. The Learning Advisor role is voluntary and will provide development opportunities for those interested in developing their knowledge and skills in facilitating learning. The role also offers opportunities for networking and learning from others who work in the field of volunteer management.
Learning Loops will meet on a regular basis and will enable volunteer managers to:
- Develop the skills and awareness necessary to take control of their own learning
- Better identify their own learning and development needs and how to meet them
- Get the best out of any learning and training opportunities they participate in
- Manage the learning of others more effectively
