London: where Volunteer Centres and sport can start creating a sporting legacy for volunteering now.

With the London 2012 games fast approaching, the capital and the surrounding region is gearing up to work in partnership.

A number of Volunteer Centres have been working with the sports and physical activity partnerships (there are 5 such partnerships in London). A number of Volunteer Centres are submitting bids to various funders to get them working with sport. We'll bring you news of these as we hear of their success.

Volunteer Centre Westminster has been working with the local sports development unit at the borough council.
