Further Education Volunteering

Volunteering England has been supporting Further Education student volunteering infrastructure for several years, working with the sector to develop projects, publications, toolkits, events and training for practitioners, and other resources.

VE's Student Volunteering Team provide a range of opportunities for Further Education Institutions to develop more knowledge of student volunteering.

These include:

  • Publications to support individual colleges and stuent volunteering practitioners within FE to develop student volunteering and work at an operational and strategic level to develop the volunteering infrastructure in the Further Education sector
  • SVT Monthly eBulletin which is available to VE members, highlighting best practice and innovation in the Further and Higher Education sectors. Sign up now by contacting us.
  • Information resource bank – filled with useful information, case studies and best practice in Further Education volunteering FE Strategic development work – find out more about our work in this area, including our Safeguarding work
  • Student Volunteering Conference – Volunteering England is currently reviewing all of its national events. A summary of the 2009 National Student Volunteering Conference is available online.
  • Student Volunteering Week – Volunteering England’s Student Volunteering Week is a national celebration of Further and Higher Education student volunteering. Held in the last week of February each year, find out more about how it was celebrated this year, along with dates for Student Volunteering Week 2010
