Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation Officer

£25,520 per annum, 35 hours per week.
Fixed term until 31st December 2010 with a possibility of extension until 31st March 2011

The Organisation

Volunteering England (VE) is a charity. We are the national volunteering development agency for England, committed to supporting, enabling and celebrating volunteering in all its diversity. We bring people interested in and involved in promoting volunteering together, we develop better networks and structures, and we initiate projects to support volunteering in a wide range of fields, such as student volunteering, health and social care, sport and employer supported volunteering.

Our work links research, policy, innovation, good practice and grant-making in the involvement of volunteers. Our members and partners range from national charities to voluntary agencies across the length and breadth of England; from NHS Trusts to arts organisations; from local community projects to government think-tanks; colleges and universities.

The Role

Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation Officer

You will support Volunteering England’s Volunteer Centre Quality Accreditation (VCQA) scheme and ensure that all aspects of the marketing fulfilment and administration are carried out to the highest possible standards e.g. the Volunteer Centre Brand.

Main duties will include maintaining and developing information technology relating to VCQA, providing administrative support to the delivery of VCQA and supporting the links between VCQA and the VE local volunteering branding.
