Volunteering England responds to reports of plans to collaborate with other sector bodies

Statement by Sukhvinder Kaur Stubbs, Chair of Trustees for Volunteering England, in response to the story in Third Sector (20 October) on collaboration between volunteering bodies.

There are many discussions across the sector on how we can work collaboratively, especially in the context of the Office for Civil Society‘s Strategic Partners programme and the overall economic conditions.

"Of course, we in Volunteering England are party to some of these discussions. We are actively seeking how best to work in partnership to develop excellence in front-line projects to support volunteering. We would always keep an open mind to collaborations that we feel could be in the best interest of Volunteering England, our members and the volunteering movement as a whole.”
