New faces join Volunteering England board

Volunteering England welcomes five new trustees following its 2011 AGM. The votes have now been counted and we are pleased to announce our new member-trustees as:

  • Catherine Johnstone, Chief Executive, Samaritans
  • Matthew Plumridge, Manager, Volunteer Centre Guildford
  • Tessa Willow, Chief Executive, Volunteer Centre Liverpool
  • Catherine, Matthew and Tessa also join two additional trustees who have been appointed by the Board: Robin Evans, Chief Executive of British Waterways and Joel Loader, partner at film communication agency I-MOTUS.

Sukhvinder Kaur-Stubbs, Chair of Volunteering England, extends a huge welcome to all five of our new trustees:

"They bring experience, commitment and expertise that will help the Board of Volunteering England to steer and strengthen the organisation through such a difficult economic climate. I'm looking forward to working with the refreshed Board to enable more people to volunteer and to get the most out of volunteering.

"The Board is committed to ensuring that Volunteering Engand's beneficiaries continue to be well supported and looks forward to greater engagement with members."
