Example Volunteer Role Descriptions (2)

The RSBP involves volunteers in a range of active roles. They have contributed some role descriptions and a role description template to the Good Practice Bank.

Kindly contributed by and copyright to the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds)

Please note: please bear in mind that these roles descriptions have been created for a specific organisation in a specific context, and should therefore be used as a guide rather than adopted wholesale. For further information, please visit our 'top tips on using the Good Practice Bank'.

Please note: please feel free to adapt this sample document for your own use

These volunteer role descriptions have a clear structure and highlight what the volunteer will gain from the experience of working with the RSPB. They also explain why these roles are important within the context of the RSPB's work.

The documents also draw attention to relevant health and safety information at an early stage, for example by mentioning that a good level of fitness and a tetanus injection are required.
