Further and Higher Education membership

If you involve volunteers in your work and care about the future of volunteering, then find your voice and be part of our national movement by becoming a member today.

You should become a member of Volunteering England if you want to receive all the latest news and developments from the world of volunteering, play your part in getting volunteering on the agenda at a national level and benefit from the specialist knowledge and support that Volunteering England has to offer.

Volunteering England has a specific category of membership for those working in the Further and Higher Education sectors.

Membership Benefits include:

  • Affiliation with an organisation that specialises in good practice in volunteer management;
  • Access to the Further and Higher Education team with specific expertise in student volunteering;
  • Regular updates in our monthly Further and Higher Education enewsletter and online Volunteering magazine, and fortnightly enewsletter, VE News;
  • Access to a members-only information line providing specialist up-to-date information, including policy and online information sheets;
  • Bi-monthly postal mailing of Volunteering England resources, including leaflets, reports and publications;
  • Contact with volunteer managers across all sectors via online forums;
  • Free insurance advice and information service from BJK Insurance and up to 10% discount on insurance premiums.
  • Entitlements:

    • 25% discount on specialised events and training;
    • 20% discount on resources and publications, including the Impact Assessment Toolkit and The Art of Crazy Paving.
    • 10% discount on the quality standard Investing in Volunteers (IiV) and Investing in Volunteers for Employers (IiVe) for paying members;
    • 10% discount on Volunteers' Week merchandise.

    Membership fees from colleges, universities and student unions’ facilitate Volunteering England's continued financial support for the Workers in the Student Community Volunteering (WiSCV) committee.

    Membership fees

    Our membership fees are set on a sliding scale based on your organisation's annual turnover. Free membership is available to those organisations with a turnover of less than £30,000.
